Airtm facilitates the sending of funds between registered users on the platform, to request a payment you only need the email or username of the user of the person from who you wish to receive the funds. 

Steps to request a payment: 

1. Go to "Send/Request" and select the "Request" option.

2. Enter the email of the person to whom you will make the request as well as the amount and a note.

3. Once you confirm the request for funds, the recipient will receive a notification.

4. The recipient of the request will accept or decline your request for funds and will be invited to send you the requested funds.

5. The transaction will be completed or canceled depending on whether the other person accepts or declines the request.
