Airtm's US Virtual Account is a new feature that allows our users to virtually obtain a US bank address to receive payments from individuals and companies through the ACH & Wire network directly to their Airtm account.

Whether you are a contractor receiving payments from a US company, a digital entrepreneur selling products through marketplaces, or a freelancer working on remote job platforms, or simply someone who needs to receive funds from the US. now with Airtm’s US Virtual Account, forget about the need for digital wallets or traditional bank accounts in the US. Airtm offers you a platform to receive local payments in the US and transfer funds at the real exchange rate of the economy using our P2P network. There’s no need to transfer it from an account under your name!

Who has access to this feature?

Airtm's USA Virtual Account is available in most countries where Airtm provides services, giving users the ability to access a U.S. bank account to facilitate their international transactions. This functionality allows for efficient and secure transfers, catering to the needs of a wide variety of global users. However, there are some countries where this functionality is NOT available due to local restrictions and regulations. The main countries where Airtm's USA Virtual Account is not operational include:

How can I enable this feature?

Visit airtm.com from your computer and click on the “US Virtual Account” menu, accept the terms and conditions, complete the sign-up fee, verify your identity with our provider, who may ask you some additional questions, and prepare to start receiving funds.

What are the fees and limits?

ACH

• Minimum amount: $5 USD, 

• Maximum amount: $100,000 USD, 

• Exchange rate: $1 USD = $1 USDC,

• Variable commission: 1.75%, 

• Crediting time: up to 3-5 business days.

Wire

• Minimum amount: $1.500 USD, 

• Maximum amount: $100,000 USD, 

• Exchange rate: $1 USD = $1 USDC,

• Variable commission: 1.75%,

How does the US virtual account work?

The US Virtual Account at Airtm enables you to receive local payments in the United States through wire and ACH transfers, whether from your own bank accounts or from third-party accounts, such as those belonging to companies and individuals. For instance, you can transfer funds from your PayPal account to your US virtual account. Additionally, you can use your US virtual account address on platforms that make payments to US bank accounts via the ACH network, simplifying the process of receiving funds from various sources.

What are the maintenance costs?

We have no maintenance costs; you only pay if you use it! The feature has a one-time opening cost of 0 USDC (limited launch promotion). Then, each time you receive payments in your US Virtual Account, a variable fee of 1.75% . These fees will be directly deducted from the funds sent.

More than 5 days have passed since I made my transfer, and I still don´t see the funds credited. What should I do in this case.

Normally, bank transfers to your US virtual account will be reflected in your Airtm account within 3 to 5 business days. If after this time you still do not see the funds in your Airtm account, please contact us here or at support@airtm.com.

Do I get a bank account number, routing number, and IBAN?

Yes, when you open your US Virtual Account at Airtm, you will obtain your account number and routing number. Log into your Airtm account, click on “US Virtual Account,” and you will find the details of your account information.

What is the difference between my account to receive payments from USA vs my Airtm account in USDC?

Your Airtm Virtual USA Account is a tool within your Airtm account that allows you to virtually obtain a US bank address to receive payments from individuals and businesses through the ACH network. When you send money to your USA Virtual Account you will receive the funds in your Airtm USDC wallet.

Which bank is this account with?

Your account corresponds to “Lead Bank.” Additionally, the US Virtual Account service is provided by Bridge Ventures Inc (“Bridge”).

Can I use the details of my US Virtual Account at Airtm to make payments and have them deducted from my Airtm balance?

At the moment, it is not possible to make payments with your US Virtual Account. We will soon launch this functionality. You can use your account to receive payments from companies through the ACH network.

I have a question about a payment. How can I contact support?

Please reach out to our Airtm support team at support@airtm.com or create a ticket on our help center. Please avoid contacting our banking partners directly, as they are not trained to assist you with these matters.

My funds are missing or have not arrived in my account.

Contact us here, and we will investigate the case. If you sent funds from your bank account, request a Trace ID from your bank for an ACH payment or an IMAD for a wire transfer. Providing this information will help us track the transaction more quickly.

My bank does not recognize the routing number for the payment; what should I do?

The correct routing numbers for Lead Bank are 101019644 for virtual accounts. This can be found on the FRB Services website at frbservices.org. The American Bankers Association (ABA) also provides an online search tool for routing numbers, which you can access here.

If you find any errors, contact your bank's support and inform them that these routing numbers are listed on the aforementioned websites and should be recognized to support transfer and ACH payments.
